I am thinking about getting a bible to read at work. Unfortunately I have my main bible (which is a little big) and then some other bibles which are hard to read out of because of the binding, print size, etc. But I figured that once I found one I could read a little bit on my lunch break and is probably something everyone aught to try if they can do so. Listening to sermons and the bible on cds is also a great idea when you're on a trip. Even if you just listen for a little while at a time.
Gary,
What version of the bible are you using? I've got several different ones that are perfect for reading at work if you'd like to "try" some out.
The one I'm using right now as a "reading" bible is the ESV personal size reference. It's about the size of a paperback book (thick and thin), has a sturdy binding, and is in a single-column, paragraph style that's pretty easy to read through.
check out the following

you'll have to copy and paste, i'm not a hyperlinker (perhaps the wife'll teach me).
If you're a fan of other versions, i've got some of those as well.

Actually I just ordered that one. I prefer KJV first and then NKJV or NASB but this is more of a reading bible (more for reading through than using to look up scriptures for sermons or during bible class). I think it should work out but thanks for the recommendation (well the recommendation you gave several weeks back on the same topic) :D.
I have started just yesterday trying to get caught up with my daily Bible reading. There has been many things that have made me realize that I really have not been studying quite like I should. Most likely it is due to the friend that I have that is sick and not doing well. Please continue to remember Kim Peck and her family in your prayers. She is not doing well with the chemo and radiation. Mr. Donahue told me at services Sunday that she has gotten real weak from the Radiation, so she will have to go back to the hospital to see if there is anything that can be done. I know that all we can do is pray and we don't have all of the answers, but every time I think about her little girls it makes me want to cry. I just don't know how long she will be able to hold on, but I pray if it is God's will that she will have more time to be with them and the rest of her family. It has made me want to be a better Christian, and I know there is much more that I can do to help others being single. I am hoping to study with someone soon, so I am trying myself to study more to get ready for that. She has asked me to study with her, so hopefully next Sunday after services I will. She is also studying with Jesse and April, but she also asked me to study with her another day of the week. She said that there is much more she wants to know about the Bible and that she is a beginner. I told her there is nothing to be ashamed of, and that is how we grow by studying.
